Easter! We celebrate Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection!

Easter! We celebrate Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection! By His blood our sin is not only covered, it has been obliterated! The power of His blood is undeniable. The passion of Christ stirs our hearts and draws us to His Love.

There is another power that is not as recognized nor understood that Jesus had nothing to do with…The angels saw God, by the power of His Word, create the universe! They saw an even greater act of power when He breathed Life into man! They watched as God’s plan unfolded through the centuries toward His Messiah. What they didn’t understand was how the salvation of man could be.

They watched as the Word become sin and died, completely. There was no way out for God’s Messiah. No one that had ever died spiritually lived again. Then a power they had never seen before, a force that made creation look like a fire cracker in comparison, erupted in hell. The Father raised Jesus from the dead!

Not only did this power raise Christ from the dead, but it lead those human spirits that were held captive in hell free. It also took this same power to bring into existence a new creation called the sons of God. You and I are born again by that incredible power!

All of this is worthy of our worship, praise, and adoration of our God. But He did one more thing with this power that astounded the angels, He placed this resurrection power in each of us! It is by this power that we are able, on a daily basis, to live free of guilt, fear, and inability. In addition, we have the choice to wield this power towards others. It is what enables us to Love and forgive others! The blood of Jesus cleansed us from our sin. The power of His resurrection enables us to live, everyday, free from sin!

So, we rejoice and worship God on Easter and God enters our celebration. Then we live Easter every day of our lives!

IIChron20:15-23

4:30 pm, Sunday March 18, those of us revolutionaries gathered at Faith Mountain Fellowship saw a post on fb. One of the Rev members who was hosting a youth group at his lodge told us that the youth group’s leader’s daughters were on their way to the hospital, one with a broken leg and the other with a spinal injury.

4:45 pm, we joined in prayer to receive God’s word on the subject. We prayed the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous. Knowing our righteousness is found in Jesus, our effectiveness is in His Word and our fervency is in our faith, we realized, as in IIChron20:15, that this battle was not ours but the Lord’s. If the Lord was to get the glory, it was for us to praise Him in the middle of the situation. IIChron20:17 gave instruction to take our positions, stand still and see the deliverance of the Lord!

6:15 pm, those of us at the Rev meeting prayed once more in agreement. We also, at this time, laid hands on a young Peruvian man that had been with us for the winter. We sent him out with the anointing of God as he travels the US then back to his country.

7:00 pm we, again with the words of IIChron20:21, praised the Lord in the face of the situation with a very loud voice!

8:25 pm a spirit of silence before the Lord came upon us. We left rejoicing in God.

9:00 pm, on our way home we received the message that both girls had been sent home from the hospital! All I can say is that the Holy Spirit is at work and God is in control.

We respond to His advances in worship.

Thanks to our brothers and sisters from Texas for sharing an amazing time of worship with us Sunday night!

We sometimes miss out on an aspect of intimacy with our Lord because we just can’t bring ourselves to see God that way. There is a oneness with Jesus as our Lover that bonds us with Him like nothing else. We are His bride and He sees us as His spotless beloved. As we respond to His advances in worship, the Holy Spirit Bonds us with Him as one. Jesus gave Himself for us as His bride. If you still have a problem seeing Jesus like this, read a book that reveals the Lord’s attitude towards us, The Song of Solomon.

When God has an agenda, get out of the way!

First Sunday in March. We gathered last night to kick off our campaign to worship God loudly on all kinds of instruments and with a loud voice! We want to worship with the same intensity and with the same results they had in IIChronicles 5:12-14!………Never happened…..At Rev, when God has an agenda, we’ve learned to get out of the way cause healing and deliverance is about to happen! The guys never made it to the stage. Somebody had pain in their back. So, instead of waiting till the end (leaving them in pain for the whole time) we asked God to heal them, then and there, which He was more than happy to do. Then there were some desperate people who had situations that were keeping them from serving the Lord like they could have. Those spirits keeping them tied down were, not so kindly, asked to vacate the premises and two smiling people left last night with a new outlook on life! Next week we will praise God till His glory fills the place…unless God changes our agenda.

To worship is to experience reality

To worship is to experience reality, to touch life. Worship is the human response to the divine initiative. Forms and rituals do not produce worship, nor does not using them. Nowhere does the New Testament prescribe a particular form of worship. In fact, what we find is freedom. We are free in Christ to use whatever forms will enhance our worship, and if any form hinders us from experiencing the living Christ-too bad for the form. We desperately need to see who God is. If the Lord is to be Lord, worship must have priority in our lives. Worship first, service second. Service as a substitute for worship is idolatry. Worship allows God to transform our lives. True worship enables us to live in perpetual, inward, listening silence so that God is the source of our words and actions. It becomes, not only possible, but necessary for every motion of our lives to have its roots in God. These are excerpts from Richard J. Foster in his book Celebration of Discipline. Come experience worship this Sunday at Rev around 6pm.

If God can use me, He can use anybody! Bible says that He uses the most unlikely people to get His work done. We were admonished last Sunday night at Rev to be busy bringing in those outside the four walls in order to increase the “workforce”. Everyone out there is a potential employee to get Gods will done, which is to make apparent to the world the Children of Light! Me and you doing the works that Jesus did, and more! One of our job descriptions is to worship without a personal agenda. We worship just because He is the Lord of creation. Because of that kind of worship God shows up and tweaks our lives to better serve Him. Come on out next Sunday night at 6pm and see what kind of position God has created specifically for you.

There have been many times I’ve said to God, “If you don’t do something now it will be too late!” I’m the only one, between Him and I, that is ever worried. He is always on time. And even when I am afraid that the worst is inevitable, He has the unmitigated gall to use me to deliver others! At Rev we are learning the position God has given us in His scheme of things. Our response is to worship with all we are. His response to worship is to reveal Himself in new, more powerful ways! “Thus says the Lord, In an acceptable and favorable time I have heard you and answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you and give you for a covenant for the people, to raise up and establish the land and to apportion and cause them to inherit the desolate.” Is. 49:8
